Select Rounding Precision

Created by Yasmine Seijmonsbergen, Modified on Thu, 5 Jun at 12:43 PM by Dennis van Rooij

To create accurate invoices, Gekko converts minutes into decimal hours, using a specific number of digits after the decimal point. For example, if you worked for 20 minutes, this is shown as 0.33 hours. You can choose how you want these hours to be rounded. This is especially important when sending invoices.
Do you want your client to see 0.33 hours, or would you prefer it shown as 0.3 hours?

Why does Gekko convert minutes to hours?

Gekko converts minutes to hours because most people log their time in minutes. However, when invoicing, it’s more common to display time in decimal hours (for example, 3 hours and 15 minutes is shown as 3.25 hours).

How can I change the rounding?

You can adjust how your hours are rounded in the invoice settings. You can round to zero, one, or two decimal places, depending on your preference.
