Uploading receipts via e-mail (Premium)

Received a receipt by e-mail? Send your receipt to upload@costs.getgekko.com from the e-mail address with which you are registered within Gekko. Your receipt will then be automatically added to your account. Check your own email address on your Gekko profile page.


With uploaded receipts, the SmartScan AI is automatically set as ‘on’, but the uploaded receipt has not yet been scanned. First turn the Smartscan button ‘off’ and then ‘on’ again to have your receipt scanned.


Please note the following instructions:

  • The sender address must be the same e-mail address you use to log into your Gekko account. You can check this email address by going to your personal profile in your Gekko account.
  • The email must contain an attached file. This is the receipt to be uploaded ( i.e. a PDF or JPG file)
  • There cannot be more than 1 file attached to the mail (sometimes emails automatically contain extra files such as logos; remove these when forwarding the receipt).

Click on 'Start' to follow the steps. Use the arrows on the bottom right to follow the steps or use the arrow keys. The text of the steps are in Dutch, but the visuals help :)
