How do I create a balance sheet in Gekko?
The balance sheet is a feature that can sometimes be confusing, because it doesn't exactly make your accounting easy. The balance sheet is a snapshot of your company's administration. For more information about the terms used in the balance sheet, please read our Gekko wiki on this subject. This snapshot is usually only relevant at the beginning and end of your company's financial year. In Gekko, we have a report where you can calculate and view your financiel statement (Premium).
Example of what your financial statement in Gekko will look like:
The financial statements are divided into three sections: the Balance Sheet, the Profit & Loss Account, and finally the Withdrawals & Deposits.
The balance sheet is further divided into Assets and Liabilities, including equity. If you would like to know more about Assets, please read this Gekko wiki. If you would like to know more about Liabilities, we also have a Gekko wiki about Liabilities and equity that you can read.
Finally, it is possible to record investments and depreciation in the financial statements in Gekko. For more information about processing Investments and Depreciation in Gekko, please read our Gekko FAQ page on this topic.
