Adding contacts and projects

With Gekko, you can easily track your hours per client and project. To get started with Gekko, you first need to create a contact and a project. It's important to know that in Gekko, we refer to "contacts," and every project must be linked to a contact.

This article explains how to create a contact and add a project via the mobile app. Learn how to create and manage new contacts and projects in your online account.


1. Creating a Contact via the Mobile Hours App

  1. Tap the blue plus sign next to contact on your home screen.


2. Enter the client’s name and hourly rate (excluding VAT). Then tap the save icon.

 

 

 

3. The new client will appear under your company name and will automatically sync with your other Gekko apps and online account.



 

2. Creating a Project via the Mobile Hours App

You can create both client projects and internal projects for your business in Gekko.

1. Tap on the client for whom you want to add a new project. Or select your own company if you want to create an internal project.


 

 

2. Enter a name for your new project and tap the save icon.
