It may happen that your phone keeps searching for a GPS signal when you try to start tracking a new trip. The app loads the map, but continues to search for GPS, and you don’t see your location on the map.
Unfortunately, this issue is not caused by the Gekko app, but by the Android software on certain phone brands. This problem is particularly common with Motorola and Lenovo devices.
There is no definitive solution we can offer, but some users have reported that the issue is (temporarily) resolved by turning location services off and on again in the phone’s settings.
It may also help to disable battery saver mode, as some phones restrict GPS access when power saving is enabled.
In any case, we recommend reporting this issue directly to the manufacturer of your phone. These types of bugs are often resolved in software updates.
