Does Gekko comply with GDPR?

Modified on Thu, 17 Sep at 12:35 PM

How does Gekko handle privacy? As of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been in effect. This is the new privacy law that applies across the entire European Union, setting important rules on how privacy and personal data processing should be handled.

What does the GDPR mean for your Gekko account?

A new law may sound overwhelming, but in practice, not much will change for you as a Gekko user.
Our privacy statement provides a detailed explanation of how Gekko handles personal data processing, security, and more.
This agreement meets all the requirements of the GDPR. In fact, Gekko was already compliant with these standards before the GDPR was introduced, as we handle a significant amount of personal data and take privacy very seriously.

If you would like to learn more about how Gekko manages personal data and privacy, check out our blog post from April 23, 2018, where we provide additional background information.

Do I need a separate data processing agreement from Gekko?

No. The use of Gekko, how we handle your data, and the applicable regulations are all covered in

Gekko's User Agreement and Privacy Statement. These documents clearly outline how we process your data and any third-party data (such as your customers' information). Therefore, a separate data processing agreement is not necessary for using Gekko.
