When Will I Receive the Money if a Customer Pays via an iDEAL Payment Link?

With an iDEAL payment link, it’s very easy to let your customers pay you via iDEAL. You can start sending payment links as soon as your Rootline or Mollie account is linked to your Gekko account. This setup takes less than 5 minutes.

The payments from your customers are collected by Rootline or Mollie and then paid out to your bank account periodically. By default, Rootline and Mollie transfer the collected payments to your account once a week, deducting transaction fees automatically. For example, Rootline charges €0.20 per successful transaction for Premium users. Mollie allows you to adjust the payout frequency in your Mollie account.

Please note: You won’t receive a separate deposit for each invoice; instead, you’ll usually get a batch payment that includes multiple transactions. Fortunately, Gekko keeps track of this for you — your account will automatically show which invoices have been paid via Rootline or Mollie, and which haven’t. You don’t have to reconcile this manually; it’s updated in real time.

So, as soon as your customer makes a payment, you’ll immediately see it reflected in Gekko, even if the funds are transferred to your bank account a little later.
